Top 3 reasons to contact a photographer for your photgraphy needs

We all own a camera, (it is 2015 right??) either a run of the mill point-and-shoot, an expensive DSLR, or our trusty camera phones, we all use some type of tool to capture our fleeting memories. So why is it so important to contact a photographer for your family needs you ask?!?! Well, because it just makes things easier... it's much harder to get that "perfect shot" when you are staging the pose, fixing the details, controlling the subjects and all while trying to actually work the camera and be calm, cool and collected. The following are the top 3 reasons to contact a photographer to help with your photography needs:

1. Photography equipment is expensive!- Not everyone wants or needs to own a high quality camera. But guess what... Photographers already have everything they need! From cameras, lenses, and props most of the time all they need from you is your smile!

2. We always (or sometimes) listen to others better-  We all know
we are on our best behavior when introduced to new people. Hearing your mom say "sit still and smile at the camera" just doesn't work the same as it does coming from the new photographer (the one you just meet with the candy in her pocket and the promise that Elmo DOES live in her camera....). So in other words, we know what to say and when to say it and it works :)

3. Photographers always know the best locations- Have you ever wondered how your favorite photographer has so many sessions in different locations? That's because it's his/her job to FIND that perfect spot, that not only to fulfil the needs of their subject but that it is also beautiful and fits the theme of the session. Plus, they have friends with resources for finding this stuff.

So the next time you are contemplating taking your family photo for your annual Christmas card save yourself the heartache and contact your favorite local photographer!!

Meeting the brains and beauty behind Focus on the Heart Photography!

Welcome to my little world I call home! I am a small town Georgia girl, mama of two,  and wife to the love of my life! I have always enjoyed photography, but never took the time to do much with it when I was younger. After having my two daughters, living our crazy life, and traveling it became clear...  I was always the one with the camera, and posing people for that perfect shot. After I was fortunate to become a stay-at-home-mama it only made sense to start doing something that comes so natural, and there is where Focus on the Heart Photography began.
I love it when I’m driving down the road, and have to turn around (or have my hubby turn around, lol) because I just found my new photo session destination spot. I have been told that others do not look at people, places, and things the way I do. I guess I just look at the world through my camera lenses, and see the  beauty in everything and everyone! I love capturing the smiles, the laughter and the looks of love that are everyone’s most precious memories.  I don’t refer to my customers as my clients they are my “families”, and I make it a priority for all my sessions to be fun, laid back, and easy!
I am an outdoor natural light photographer specializing in Individual, Family, Children, Maternity, & Senior Portraits just to name a few. I love to customize photo sessions with unique and personal mementos of your life. If there is something special you want to capture, need to ask a question, or want to book a session feel free to contact me at focusontheheartphotography@gmail.com or shoot me a Facebook message, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
